What is dry brushing?

Dry brushing is good for you for so many reasons, it gets your blood flowing, breaks up sore lymph nodes where our bodies are fighting infections, unclogs pores, speeds up healing and regeneration of new skin, mood booster, and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite. Dry brushing is also the BEST way to exfoliate before a spray tan. The reason it is so good is because it requires no oily scrubs and effectively gets off all of your dead skin.

You can find a dry brush on Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc. they are cheap $5-$7. Dry brushing is as it sounds a dry brush on your skin, no soap, water or lotion on the skin before brushing. The best time to dry brush is while your shower is heating up. Start at the soles of your feet brush your skin towards your heart paying special attention to joints where lymphatic fluid can collect. On your stomach brush in a circular motion. Along your chest and back continue to brush towards your heart. I won't lie, it does hurt a bit. I found after the first few times it didn't hurt anymore. Keep in mind you do NOT want to dry brush while you have a spray tan on, it will take off the tanner.

Dry brushing has so many benefits and is the only way I recommend our clients to exfoliate before applying self-tanner or coming in for a spray tan. Try one out and let me know what you think!
